Armor storage boxes
Ancon Leviat EAZISTREAP formwork boxes are designed to ensure the continuity of the reinforcement at the junctions of structural elements in reinforced concrete structures.
Formwork is simplified, and there is no need to drill holes in the formwork to allow reinforcing bars to pass through, nor is it necessary to carry out the even more time-consuming and costly process of partial demolition to connect the reinforcing bars in reinforced concrete.
Each unit consists of a galvanized steel box that is roughened to provide an effective bond with the concrete. The pre-bent ribbed bars are housed inside the box and are protected by a removable protective cover.
When the cover is removed, the bars can be straightened, ready to serve as the reinforcement for the second structural element to be concreted.
Quality Assurance
The Ancon Eazistrip System has technical approval from UK CARES, TA2-5017.
The system is manufactured using certified ribbed steel bars. The reinforcement grade is selected by Leviat Ancon Building Products to provide an adequate degree of ductility, ensuring compliance with the requirements of BS 4449:2005 Grade B500C following prefabrication and straightening on site. The bars are formed in accordance with BS 8666:2005.
Eazistrip Reinforcement Continuity Systems are suitable for use in designs carried out in accordance with BS EN 1992-1-1: 2004 (Eurocode 2) and BS 8110-1: 1997.
Eazistrip standard specifications are available upon request.

Leviat Ancon Eazistrip Waterproof Sealing
When there is a potential for water penetration through construction joints, the Eazistrip concrete formwork system can be supplied with a Pentaflex hydrostatic seal, which is a hydro-expansive waterstop that provides a guaranteed waterproof seal along the formwork joints, i.e., along the construction joint.
The bars must be straightened only once, using an Eazistrip tool.

Leviat Ancon KSN Anchors
The internally threaded anchors are simply positioned—using a reusable wooden element—by nailing them into the formwork on the first structural concrete element. When the reinforcement for the adjacent element is placed, the anchor covers are removed, and the ribbed tie bars—which have been pre-threaded with Bartec parallel threads—are secured by mechanical tightening.
This is a faster, easier, and above all safer continuity system. It eliminates the need to drill into the formwork or concrete and the risks associated with straightening the continuity bars. It replaces cast-in-place bars, reducing the concentration and density of reinforcement bars while improving their on-site installation.
Unlike continuity box and rebar spigot systems, there is virtually no restriction on the length of the continuity bars, and the choice can also fall on a wide variety of ribbed bar diameters, since there are no limitations.
Independent tests have verified improvements in anchorage performance in moment-resisting connections. A specific feature of the Ancon KSN Leviat range.
The anchors feature an internal thread with a Bartec thread profile. There are eight standard anchors in the KSN range.
Bartec – Anc ribbed reinforcement bars for Leviat Ancon KSN anchors are designed for use with ribbed bars of 12 mm, 16 mm, and 20 mm diameter, grade B500B or B500C, threaded with a Bartec metric thread, supplied by Cortartec. It is not necessary to straighten the bars on site.

The Ancon KSN Leviat system for the continuity of reinforced concrete reinforcement consists of internally threaded anchors that are installed in the first structural element to be poured and, during the construction of the adjacent slab, receive the ribbed bars for reinforcement continuity, which have been pre-threaded with a Bartec metric parallel thread. This is a faster and, above all, safer system than traditional bar-casting continuity systems. There is no need to straighten the bars on-site, and there are no restrictions on the length of the continuity bars, so EC2 lap lengths are accommodated very easily. A standard wooden support allows multiple anchors to be installed simultaneously. Unlike bending systems, where the length, spacing, and diameter of the bar are limited by the physical dimensions of the formwork, Leviat Ancon KSN anchors thus offer complete design flexibility.
The KSN system, which includes both the anchor and the continuity bar, holds UK CARES Technical Approval TA1-B, allowing those who specify and install it to do so with the utmost confidence. KSN anchors have undergone a comprehensive testing program, which included an evaluation of the performance of construction joints under load and a full audit of Ancon’s production facilities.
